Arthur is buried with her partner Bette Armstrong at Waikanae Cemetery. After Armstrong dies in 2000, Bea established the Armstrong and Arthur Charitable Trust for Lesbians. The Trust is named to recognise and remember Bea and Bette's 57 year relationship.
