Tamati Coffey Tamati Coffey has announced his engagement to his partner Tim Smith, with the couple apparently planning a civil union for the end of the year. The TV One weatherman made the announcement on his Facebook page on Monday, which was Valentine's Day. The Dancing With The Stars winner has been a supporter of the gay community, most notably donating his winnings from the TV show to Rainbow Youth. He has been a roving weather reporter on TVNZ's Breakfast programme since 2007, after starting his career on kids' show What Now. Coffey recently featured on Intrepid Journeys, where he spoke of missing his partner while dealing with the scorching heat of Oman. TVNZ's spokesperson says the company wishes the couple the very best. Coffey was last week announced as a finalist in the sexiest man category in the Best on the Box People's Choice Awards.
