Mr Gay New Zealand Aaron Comis Christchurch Financial Controller Aaron Comis has been selected to represent New Zealand at the Mr Gay World contest in the Philippines next month. The 32-year-old will compete against winners from across the globe in the contest, which is designed to use the model of a beauty competition to establish ambassadors for both gay and human rights. The entries were incredibly strong but Comis won the most votes from our judges: designer and DJ James Leuii, MC and DJ Steven Oates, GABA President and Producer Glenn Sims, Aaron Halliwell and Andy Boreham from Aaronandandy.com and Mr Gay World Founder and President Eric Butter. Comis may be familiar, as he has appeared in campaigns for the New Zealand AIDS Foundation initiatives Bro Online and Get It On! He is also a board member of Christchurch queer youth group Qtopia. A full profile on Mr Gay New Zealand winner Aaron Comis will follow. We wish him the best of luck for the competition!
