Chris Colfer Chris Colfer has won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Kurt on Glee, while his lesbian co-star Jane Lynch also picked up a gong for her acerbic character Sue Sylvester. Colfer won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. In his acceptance speech he thanked Glee creator Ryan Murphy for being his fairy godfather and took the opportunity to thank "all the amazing kids that watch our show and who are constantly told no by...bullies at school and told they can't have what they want because of who they are. Well screw that." He earlier told media he wants a Scissor Sisters-themed episode of Glee and Oscar-winner Julie Andrews to guest star as his character's grandmother, plus more Lady Gaga. The ever-hilarious Jane Lynch said she was “nothing if not falsely humble,” before thanking her wife Dr Lara Embry, after winning the Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Series, Mini-Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television. The Kids Are Alright, a story which explores lesbian motherhood, won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical. Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy went to Annette Bening for her portrayal of a lesbian mother struggling to keep her family together.
