Top cop fired after Palm Springs entrapment

Sat 15 Jan 2011 In: International News

Palm Springs, California Palm Springs police chief has been kicked out of the job after organising repeated entrapment operations against gay men in what is often termed the USA's gayest city. David Dominguez had ordered his oficers, only one per cent of whom are openly gay, to "dress flamboyantly" at night and proposition "faggot" visitors to the city, half of whose population is gay. Any man who seemed willing to have sex in the nearby outdoor areas was immediately arrested and charged with sex offenses. Two dozen such men are currently going through the justice system and if found guilty will be required to register as sex offenders and to spend the rest of their lives of databases originally set up to allow parents to identify convicted pedophiles.
