The World AIDS Day collection to provide money for support services for HIV Positive people raised over $30,000. The appeal, held in late November in association with World AIDS Day December 1st, raised $32875.30, according to a final summing up released by the organiser, the NZ AIDS Foundation. The amount includes "the street collections, events, counter-top and partner collections as well as online donations." The collection total is slightly down on the previous year's figure of just on $38,000. "The NZAF would like to thank each and every person who donated money, or their time and talent to making this appeal a success," a spokesperson for the Foundation says. The distribution of the funds will be decided next month.
