Arrests follow brawl at Tauranga cruising spot

Two men have been arrested following a brawl in a Tauranga public toilet block which is known as a cruising spot. The Bay of Plenty Times reports police were called to the toilets on 11th Ave around midday yesterday. A 33-year-old Tauranga man was charged with assault and a 27-year-old Tauranga man was charged with disorderly behaviour. Staff at local businesses told the newspaper one of the men was screaming for the other to stop during the fight, which lasted about 10 minutes. "One of them was beating up the other guy. He was outside the toilets once or twice but the other guy kept dragging him back in," a witness said. You can read the full story here
