Police investigate mass drink spiking

Mon 6 Dec 2010 In: New Zealand Daily News

Napier police are investigating a mass drink spiking which left three men and a woman in hospital on Saturday night. Police were called after the four people began convulsing, dry-retching and throwing up at the Cri Bar in Central Napier. Three men, aged 20, 23 and 44 and one woman, 19, were admitted to hospital about 2am. A small bottle of liquid found in the bar has been sent for analysis. Toxicology reports are likely to take several days. Police want to speak to anyone who noticed any suspicious behaviour or illicit substances being offered in the bar.
