Bi Aussie musician Sia has been added to the Big Day Out line-up, continuing the massive Australasian summer festival's history of support for queer musicians. The 34-year-old Adelaide native has turned heads across the globe with her sexy, fun brand of catchy pop. This year Sia, full name Sia Furler, released her fifth album which includes singles Clap Your Hands, Bring Night and You've Changed. The album was honoured picked up three ARIA Awards, including Best Pop Release and Best Independent Album. Sia is openly bisexual and is in a relationship with DJ and musician JD Samson, who has graced the Big Day Out stage in the past with both her band Le Tigre and as part of Peaches' former backing band Hermes. She joins a powerful Big Day Out line up, which includes M.I.A., Iggy and The Stooges, LCD Soundsystem, Primal Scream, Crystal Castles and heavyweight headliners Tool and Rammstein. The Big Day Out will be on 21 January at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium.
