Tenth suspect arrested over "demonic" torture

The house where the attack took place - NY Daily News Bronx police have arrested a tenth suspect over what New York media have branded the "demonic" gang torture of three gay men. Jose Dominguez, 22, surrendered to police at the Bronx office of the NYPD's Special Victims Unit. The New York Daily News reports detectives initially believed that nine members of the so-called Latin King Goonies were responsible for a "sadistic reign of homophobic terror". The Goonies are accused of using wooden objects to sodomize a 17-year-old gang recruit they discovered was gay - and his 30-year-old lover. A third 17-year-old was also tortured for hours inside the gang's lair. They also robbed a brother of one of their victims and tied him up with enough duct tape on his face that he was near suffocation. There has been public outcry over the crime spree and the gang members were nabbed after 'fed up' neighbours flooded police with tips – the big break coming when a local slipped a piece of paper with the gang leader's nickname on it into an officer's hand.
