Tegan and Sara finally announce NZ return

Sat 11 Sep 2010 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Tegan and Sara have announced they will make a long-awaited return to New Zealand, to support Jack Johnson in three shows. There was a strong push to get the lesbian twin sisters to visit after they recently toured Australia, but did not come to New Zealand. They have been to New Zealand before, playing at Auckland University bar Shadows very early in their career. The Canadians will play in New Plymouth, Christchurch and Auckland in November and December. Tegan and Sara play a catchy brand of indie pop, with songs mostly about girls and lesbian relationships. Tegan writes on their website “to our lovely fans in New Zealand and Australia, we are so proud and excited to announce we will be coming to visit you all very soon!” "Sara and I are the main support on Jack Johnson's summer tour this November and December!” “Sara and I haven't been to New Zealand for years and so it is especially exciting to us that we will be getting over to your wonderful country once more for three shows!” Tegan and Sara will support Jack Johnson at the following shows: 28.11.10 - TSB Bowl of Brooklands - Taranaki , New Zealand 30.11.10 - CBS Canterbury Arena - Christchurch, New Zealand 02.12.10 - Vector Arena - Auckland, New Zealand Watch Tegan and Sara's Back In Your Head below:
