Gay electronic duo to launch album

Gay electronic pop duo Manthyng are launching their debut album at K' Road's Naval and Family on Saturday night. Singer songwriter Stanley Manthyng and producer DJ Stevolicious have been writing and recording the album over the past 12 months. The 15-track album will be on sale at the show, with Stan Manthyng describing it as contemporary and progressive. Manthyng will play a live forty-five minute set at the launch on Saturday night, featuring some of the songs from the album. The show is free and all are welcome. "Manthyng music is queer music for queer people. Come and support them as there is not enough queer music being made in New Zealand," the pair says. Special guests who will take the stage from 10pm are Will C Barling, Jason Carlo and DJ Shusha, as well as Steven Oates plus Tess Tickle and all the usual Saturday night acts. The first video ‘Levitate' from the album has been completed and will officially premiere on the night. Check it out below:
