Chris Carter Chris Carter says he has no immediate plans to quit Parliament. The gay MP remains on sick leave after being thrown out of the Labour caucus, after he tried to undermine Phil Goff's leadership. Radio New Zealand News this morning quoted Labour Party sources as saying a representative of Carter has indicated he is reluctant to return to Parliament. ONE News says Carter has indicated he is happy to continue to be the member for Te Atatu and has not been Labour to find him a job. "I think everybody knows I've been stressed. I've been harassed by media and I'm on sick leave at the moment," the MP said. Carter will not comment further until his sick leave is up next month.
