Missing man Brad Anderson The family of a missing gay Dunedin man has made a public appeal for help finding him. Brad Anderson, 25, was last seen filling up his car at the BP service station on Dunedin's George St on Thursday. Family spokesman Paul O'Sullivan says the alarm was raised on Thursday after Brad failed to answer calls and texts to his mobile which, he says is "extremely unusual for a guy who is on his phone 24/". "Brad's mother, family and friends are all devastated by his disappearance and we need to find him and bring him home. In our best case scenario, we're all hoping Brad's out there and will call us when he hears this message." Friends and family have posted messages on Facebook asking for help to Anderson, who is an IT-consultant at Otago University. He has not touched his bank account since he filled up with $30 petrol at 11.30am on Thursday morning. Anderson was driving a distinctive 2000 Nissan wingroad registration number EJK998 which is sign-written with the name of the IT business (OTAGO IT written in large yellow and blue signwriting) that he had recently started. Family members have also attempted to find him through tracking his cellphone signal, which is still transmitting from within a 30km radius of Dunedin's Mt Cargill. A helicopter has conducted an arial search and teams of people have combed the city and outlying areas. Anyone with information about Brad's whereabouts should contact Dunedin police on 03 4714800.
