New executive for Out Wellington

Tue 17 Aug 2010 In: New Zealand Daily News

Out in the Square A new executive team has taken the reins at Out Wellington for the year ahead. The volunteer group runs Wellington's gay and lesbian fair Out in the Square and Proud festival. Andy Boreham decided not to run as chairperson again due to other commitments and was voted secretary at the Out Wellington AGM this week. Boreham says he had a great year as Chair. "We achieved so much this year, especially our art exhibition Under the Rainbow, which raised some much-needed cash for our group." Russell Clark was voted in as the new Chairperson, and newcomer Stephen Riley was voted in as Treasurer. Out Wellington will now move forward with plans for next year's Out in the Square, which will take place on the opening day of the games, Saturday March 12. The group is also planning other events to coincide with the Wellington OutGames.
