The Topp Twins The unstoppable Topps have been at it again, scooping another award as their documentary continues to charm audiences in the United States. The Topp Twins: Untouchable Girls has won the Special Programming Award for Freedom at the 28th annual Outfest Awards in Los Angeles. The annual festival is devoted to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender films. The film which tells the endearing life story of Jools and Lynda has now had coast-to-coast success in the US. Last month it won Best Documentary Feature at the New York GLBT film festival NewFest 2010. Untouchable Girls is the most successful feature documentary ever released in New Zealand. Despite all the US success the ever-humble twins haven't forgotten their New Zealand fans - they will be performing at Gay Ski Week on Thursday 9 September. Top honours at the Outfest Awards went to BearCity, an "outrageous" romantic comedy set in New York's bear scene, and A Marine Story, a “don't ask, don't tell” drama. A Special Programming Award for Artistic Achievement went to Undertow, while Strange Powers: Stephin Merritt
