Open invite issued for Out Wellington's AGM

Civic Square The group which organises Wellington's gay and lesbian fair Out In The Square will hold its AGM in August, and is encouraging people to come along and get involved. Out Wellington's Chairperson Andy Boreham says they will conduct some of the usual business. "But we're also very keen to meet any prospective new members who might be keen to put their talents to good use with a fabulous and exciting annual event," he says. "Everyone is welcome, even if you just want to say 'hi' or ask some questions about the past year and Out Wellington." Out In The Square has been running for 25 years, attracting around 10,000 people to Civic Square with its stalls, food, entertainment this year. The 2011 fair will be held on Saturday 12 March, coinciding with the AsiaPacific Outgames. While stallholder registrations are not being taken just yet, any potential volunteers are being sought. The Out Wellington AGM will take place from 7pm, Monday 16 August at the Awhina Centre, Level 1, 197 Willis Street.
