Urge hunts its next Mr Leather

Wed 30 Jun 2010 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Urge is looking for contestants to represent New Zealand at the annual Mr Australia/New Zealand Leatherman contest in Melbourne in October. The K Road bar is hosting the New Zealand heat on Friday, August 6. The night will also act as a fundraiser for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand. The winner will get return flights to Melbourne to compete for the overall Australasia title on October 1 and a chance to compete at IML Chicago in 2011. Last year's Mr Australia/NZ winner Josh Burrows placed in the top 20 in the States. Urge co-owner Alan Granville hopes a wide variety of guys try out for the competition. "There is no specific body type or look which defines a Leather man, so we hope to get guys of all shapes and sizes. It's also just a great way to raise money for a very worthy cause." Anyone interested should email the bar at urgebar@ihug.co.nzfor further details.
