Eminem says he supports gay marriage

Fri 18 Jun 2010 In: International News View at Wayback

After years of being accused of being homophobic and hateful, rapper Eminem has declared he would support gay marriage in his home state of Detroit. In an interview with The New York Times Magazine, Eminem says his overall look on things is a lot more mature than it used to be. He is asked by a reporter if he'd support a gay marriage bill in his home state of Michigan - and he replies that he would. "I think if two people love each other, then what the hell? I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want." Eminem has been accused by gay rights groups throughout the years of being homophobic and spreading hate, particularly in his Marshall Mathers album.
