Michael Black and John Morgan A British gay couple are planning to sue the Christian owners of a Bplans to bring a civil case. The men booked a double room at the guest house in March, but the owners said it was against their convictions to allow them to share a double bed. The Wilkinsons says they uphold their position, insisting they were simply adhering to their Christian beliefs. The legal director of Liberty, James Welch, has told the Daily Mail the group defends the rights of religious groups to preach their beliefs, even when it disagrees with them, but not to discriminate in the provision of goods and services. Mr Welch said the Equality Act (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2007 made it against the law for public authorities and other service providers to discriminate on the grounds of sexual orientation.
