Dr Clive Aspin has resigned from the Board of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation following a request for him to do so from the remaining trustees. "We make this announcement with regret. Dr Aspin has made an extraordinary contribution to the fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic in New Zealand over the past two decades," says Simon Robb. "Dr Aspin has become the target of sustained attack from various members within our stakeholder communities. Unfortunately, the nature of these attacks has prevented the Board moving forward on a much needed constitutional review. We needed to be able to move on," says Mr Robb.
