Programmes are being distributed for the Out Takes film festival, with volunteers dropping them off at cafes, libraries, stores and gay venues across Auckland and Wellington. The 2010 festival will run from May 27 to June 9 in the two cities. Copies of the programme can also be downloaded from www.outtakes.org.nz. Recently-announced highlights of the festival include lesbian film Hannah Free and gay movie Eating Out 3: All You Can Eat. Opening night in Auckland will be at Newmarket's Rialto Cinemas on May 27, with Along Came Lola the pick for the women and An Englishman In New York for the men. Wellington's leg of the festival will open on June 3 at the Paramount, with An Englishman In New York. The venue can only run one opening night film, but there will be a special lesbian gala event on June 6 where And Then Came Lola will show. Out Takes is currently giving away two double passes to an Out Takes film via its Facebook page.
