A lesbian-themed radio show, The Kel Word Saturday Night Shakedown, takes to the air in central Auckland - and to the internet - this Saturday night. Kelly Rice Kelly Rice, already known as the lead singer for all girl rock band Razor, a former Queer Nation TV presenter, Shortland Street actress and dance party organiser will present the two hour radio show every Saturday night on Radio Ponsonby. “I’m looking forward to playing some great beats with a grunty flavour that will ultimately get the girls hyped to hit the town on a Saturday night," says Rice, "and of course there will be interviews with the movers and shakers of our scene, movie and book reviews, Miss Transylvania will dispense useful and useless advice on love, Ladyfix will provide the gossip and the chicks from Candy Bar will pop in to discuss cocktails and hot girls!” Listeners around the country can hear The Kel Word Saturday Night Shakedown from 8 till 10pm at www.radioponsonby.co.nz or in Ponsonby tune into 107.7fm.
