Bisexual men "not gay enough" for softball team

Thu 22 Apr 2010 In: International News View at Wayback

Three bisexual men are taking legal action against an American gay-sports group, claiming they were judged "not gay enough" to play for a gay softball team during the Gay Softball World Series. Steven Apilado, LaRon Charles and Jon Russ say the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance discriminated against them during the Gay Softball World Series held in Seattle in August 2008. Their team, D2, was apparently told by the alliance, "this is the gay world series, not the bisexual world series." A lawsuit has been filed, accusing the alliance of violating Washington state laws barring discrimination.
