An "exciting" night for massed glbt choirs

Sun 4 Apr 2010 In: New Zealand Daily News View at NDHA

Tonight's Out and Loud concert at the Auckland Town Hall provided a "mind blowing" experience for the singers and was well received by the 600-strong audience. Hosted by Auckland's Gay And Lesbian Singers (GALS), singers from New Zealand, Australia and the USA presented a full concert which included a well received special composition by gay Auckland composer David Hamilton. The Out and Loud concert was also an opportunity to sing accompanied by the newly-refurbished Town Hall organ. "It was just mind-blowing singing with the organ," says singer and GALS spokesperson Jan Suckling. "It's an hour after the concert ended and I'm still buzzing with adrenaline! It was so exciting."
