Artists wanted for Wellington exhibition

Tue 23 Mar 2010 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback View at NDHA

Artists who draw on the experience of being a GLBT New Zealander are being sought to show their work in a Wellington exhibition. UNDER THE RAINBOW: Experience Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Trans life in Aotearoa through art, is a fundraiser for Out Wellington Inc, which runs events such as Out in the Square. Out Wellington is asking for artists who might like to show their work to get in contact. Co-chair Andy Boreham says the art would ideally tell a story about being GLBT in New Zealand. The exhibition opens on 12 April at Cuba Street's Thistle Gallery. An auction will be held on 17 April. To contact Out Wellington: email@frozenflame.co.nz or 0272-263-739.
