Stonyridge Vineyard is set for a gay occasion Gay singer Paul Rutherford from 1980s pop band Frankie Goes to Hollywood will host his Relax welcome dinner at Waiheke Island's Stonyridge Vineyard on Monday evening. More than two-dozen central Auckland hotels have been given gay 'welcome packs' containing information about Sunday's Big Gay Out and other events and venues open this week in the city for the 1,400+ gay cruisers who'll set sail on Wednesday 17 February. "The hotels were much appreciative of the folders, as many of the Front of House personnel at the hotels were not familiar with the gay community ad what it had to offer their hotel guests," welcome pack organiser Wayne Nicholas tells GayNZ.com.
