Sat 16 Jan 2010 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

The search is on in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland to find models to promote the Bro Online dating website for men seeking men. Guys can enter by attending an upcoming event hosted by drag diva Miss Ribena in each city, and the winning men from Wellington and Christchurch will be flown up to join the winner of the Auckland competition to take part in a special photo shoot on Saturday 13 February. The three winners also will be treated like Queens at Auckland's Caluzzi cabaret restaurant and Family Bar and receive VIP treatment at the Get it On! Big Gay Out on Sunday 14 February, plus they'll receive bonus prizes. "Basically we're trying to find a bunch of hot guys around the country to promote Bro Online," explains the website's developer Quinton Hiini. "'Hot' can mean anything really, so we want to get a range of guys to represent all of New Zealand." Wellington men can enter the model contest at Bro Online's Beach Party happening at Breaker Bay on Saturday 30 January as part of the capital's Proud Festival. There's also an after-party that evening at central city club Maya. In Christchurch, Miss Ribena and guest hosts Virginia Wright and Felesha Fukunda will host their pageant at the Bro Online Beach Party at Foam Bar from 8pm on Friday 5 February. Family bar on K' Road will host Auckland's Hottest of the Hotties event to find the city's models on the evening of Sunday 7 February. Prizes from DJ Station fashions and 42Below must be won.
