With two fun events in Auckland and a huge club night in Wellington, this weekend is one of 2009's busiest for party-hopping lesbians in New Zealand's biggest cities. The Auckland Lesbian Business Association's annual Christmas Party tomorrow (Friday) evening has an 'incognito' theme. "Anything goes - as long as you don't look like yourself," say the ALBA crew. Attendees will be challenged to find 'Miss X' and will receive a clue on the back of their ticket. The event kicks off at Purple bar on K' Road from 7pm. Tickets are available from The Women's Bookshop on Ponsonby Road. On Saturday evening, DJ Sha will play popular choices from the 70s, 80s, 90s and today at the Rush Women's Dance at the Ceramco Park Function Centre in Glen Eden, West Auckland. The party, beginning at 8pm, will include a limited bar but is also BYO. Tickets are $15 at the door. FLIRT will cost $10, with the doors opening at 9pm at Curve bar on Edward Street.
