The man charged with knowingly exposing fourteen young male and female sex partners to HIV has applied for bail, which will be decided at Auckland's High Court this Friday. Bail application: Glenn Mills Glenn Mills has been in custody since May, after trying to avoid police before he was eventually discovered in a car at Mission Bay and arrested. Judge Josephine Bouchier refused bail at the District Court in the days following Mills' arrest, saying there was a high chance he could offend again as he was accused of looking for sexual encounters "in a variety of ways." His defence suggested Mills could remain at large but be blocked from internet access and personal contact with individuals or groups, including people of certain ages, but the Judge felt this was not feasible. Mills was also a 'flight risk', and had already tired to interfere with a witness, leaving that person feeling "intimidated", police had said, adding that some people who had been involved with Mills were "fearful of bail being granted." Mills' bail hearing is scheduled for 3:45pm this Friday at Auckland's High Court.
