HIV positive people under the age of 35 are invited to a social get-together this Sunday afternoon at the Body Positive centre just off K' Road. Bruce Kilmister, the CEO of HIV+ support network Body Positive, says the meet-up is "just a social get-together for people to meet each other. You're also welcome to bring a friend or guest along with you." Kilmister says he's heard from people who think Body Positive is "a bit of an old men's place," but says the network has many young people in its books. "We have 35 people under the age of 35 with us, so we want to dispel concerns that there's nothing for them out there," he tells GayNZ.com. Starting at 4pm this Sunday 8 November at Body Positive, 1/3 Poynton Terrace (top of Pitt St off K' Rd), the event is supported by Auckland Sexual Health, and if it proves popular will be the first of regular get-togethers. "We're open to suggestions about how the meet-ups happen," adds Kilmister.
