Gay Green MP is doing 'Movember'

Thu 5 Nov 2009 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Gay Green MP Kevin Hague realises his face may well look strange towards the end of the month, but he's glad to grow his 'mo for a good cause this 'Movember'. Growing a 'mo: Kevin Hague An increasing number of men each year donate their top lip to support the Cancer Society and raise awareness of prostate cancer, which effects over 3,000 Kiwi guys each year. The annual 'mo drive also benefits the mental Health Foundation of New Zealand. "Health just isn't on the radar for most men, and men's health isn't on the radar for most health services," says Hague." I've been on about this for quite a while, so now I'm in Parliament and on the Health Select Committee I have a real chance to make a difference. "This is not about more prostate screening, but instead about keeping men well and getting help early," he adds. Kevin Hague's Movember donation page is here.
