Boy George: "There's some nice people in prison!"

Gay DJ and former pop star Boy George says he made a few friends during his recent prison stint, who he keeps in touch with and sends money to. Out again: Boy George The 47-year-old Londoner was sentenced to 15 months in jail after being found guilty of falsely imprisoning a male escort, but only served four months before being released 'on good behaviour'. "You get a lot of attention when you first go in, especially if you're Boy George," the slimmed-down ex-con told a UK chat show host of his prison experience. "But, in a funny sort of way, people were actually quite sweet; people would come up to me and say, 'Do you need a tooth brush, a mirror?' There's some nice people in prison!"
