Sohomo crew are 'Over the Rainbow'

Tue 6 Oct 2009 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback View at NDHA

The crew who brought us Auckland's popular Sohomo nights out are returning to K' Road next week with a special Over the Rainbow party. Just days after Ponsonby Road's Dorothy's Sister bar closed its doors, the Wizard of Oz's star Judy Garland graces the poster for the party, which again pays tribute to gay icon Dorothy "There's no place like home" Gale. Party promoter Paul Phillips promises "excessive decorations, cheap indie kicks, and people losing their minds." The dress code is simple - "dress Dorothy". Featuring Quay Street Social Club DJs, Meltron, Boo U Whore, La Beat Debaucery, Disco Pauley and more to be announced, the party will kick off at 9pm on Thursday 15 October at Whammy Bar in St. Kevin's Arcade, with a gold coin entry fee.
