The Cartier Bereavement Charitable Trust has gifted $2,000 to OUTLine NZ as the embattled phone support service prepares to farewell its General Manager this Wednesday. The Cartier Trust, a charity set up to financially assist with funerals for Kiwis who die of HIV-related illness, announced today it would give $2,000 to help OUTLine get through it's difficult financial situation. Cartier's trustees say they are proud to support the OUTLine counselling service who "are there for people at their time of need - so we have to be there for them now." Tonight's Quiz Night at K' Road's Naval showing how people and organisations can assist OUTLine. A 24-hour bucket collection at most gay venues nationwide is planned for this Saturday 3 October. The OUTLine October 'thermometer' on GayNZ.com's front page will give a real time depiction of progress throughout October towards a $30,000 goal, which will maintain the phone service until the next funding round.
