Cops in the British town of County Durham have arrested two men who posed as police officers to blackmail a man they met via a dating website, reports the BBC. The 49-year-old man agreed to meet a date after chatting on the website, but arrived to find two men dressed as police officers who said he was being fined and took his bank card. £200 (NZ$445) was later taken from his bank account, which was used to pay for a mountain bike, alcohol and cigarettes. Police would like others who may have been similarly scammed to come forward, but realise they may be reluctant to do so.
