The Scissor Sisters' tour DJ Sammy Jo will play a special one-off gig at Auckland's Galatos venue next week, featuring live music from Charlie Ash and Manthyng. Touring: DJ Sammy Jo Sammy Jo - who blends electro, house, and 'dark disco' styles - is the special guest DJ at Sydney's Sleaze Ball, planned for Saturday 3 October - but Aucklanders will get to see him on Thursday 1 October. "The ideal crowd is one that trusts a DJ," he tells Time Out Sydney. "That way when you take risks they are willing to go along for the ride and just enjoy it." The night will also feature Kiwi indie band Charlie Ash and local electronic duo Manthyng, along with DJ's James Leuii and La Beat Debauchery. The gig starts at 10pm on Thursday 1 October at Galatos on Galatos Street, with tickets sold at $15 on the door.
