An ad for a marriage equality group in Ireland has become a worldwide YouTube hit, attracting over 100,000 views. Actor Hugh O'Connor in the hit YouTube ad The video shows a hapless man travelling the Irish countryside asking everyone he meets for permission to marry his girl. The ad concludes: 'How would you feel if you had to ask four million people permission to get married? Lesbian and gay men are denied access to marriage in Ireland.' The MarriagEquality group's spokesperson Andrew Hyland told PinkNews.co.uk: "The film was really made to motivate people. When we premiered it at the Dublin Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, the reaction was amazing. The message at the end got a big round of applause."
