Triangle TV's Sunday Nights Out continue

After one week off, Triangle TV's Sunday evening festival of iconic Kiwi-made LGBT films and documentaries continue this weekend with some short docos about transgender New Zealanders. Sunday date: Ramon Te Wake Sunday Night Out was replaced by a two-hour special fundraising programme for Tonga ferry victims and their families last weekend, but resumes at 9:30pm this Sunday. June's Story - a scandalous tale of being a transgender man in the 1920's - begins this week's line-up of three documentaries. Later, Transgender in Jail explores what happens to trans people in Kiwi jails, and The Making of Ramon is the biographical look at musician and transwoman Ramon Te Wake. All three documentaries were produced by Maordi TV's Takataapui series. Upcoming Sundays see iconic LGBT Kiwi films showcased including Squeeze and Fifty Ways of Saying Fabulous. BROKEBACK'S BACK Meanwhile, TVNZ has announced that it will repeat Brokeback Mountain, the Oscar-winning story of cowboy love. The film is scheduled for 8:30pm on Saturday 12 September on TVOne.
