Gay singer George Michael has narrowly escaped injury after his car was involved in a serious collision with a truck. George Michael The 46-year-old singer, who had just emerged from a two-year driving ban, was arrested after his silver Land Rover hit an articulated truck in the early hours of yesterday morning. He was taken to a police station and questioned on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drink or drugs and released about five hours later without charges being laid. The truck driver told the UK Daily Mail that the ex-Wham frontman who has a history of bizarre behaviour and drug offenses seemed "completely disorientated, like he had no idea what was going on. He looked totally dazed and even tried to climb into the cab of my lorry. He kept saying he was worried he would go to jail." The driver said he saw Michael's silver 4x4 weaving from one side of the road to the other in his rear view mirror seconds before the crash, adding that the impact was so great that he had feared the driver was dead.
