Meeting will air lesbian health issues

A public meeting this Saturday will give lesbians the opportunity to discuss current health issues including reluctance to consult doctors and invisibility in health statistics. Dr Liz Harding Hosted by Miriam Saphira at the Charlotte Museum in Auckland, the gathering will feature Dr Elizabeth Harding and a discussion about a recent forum with Statistics NZ.  "It seems we will not be counted as lesbians until at least 2016 and maybe not even then. How can we assess our well being when we have no baseline of how proportion of us there are in the population and what are our health issues?" asks Saphira. The meeting starts at 2.30pm this Saturday August 15 at the Charlotte Museum.
