As the World Outgames in Copenhagen pass the half way point kiwis have so far registered two silver medals on the results board, both in long distance running. In the men's Half Marathon, 45-49 age group, Anthony Paltridge has taken silver with a time of 1.33.25, 3 minutes behind winner Tor Hansen of the USA. In the men's Half Marathon, 50-54 age group, Nigel Jeffcoat came in second with a time of 1.32.24, 1.20 behind winner David Tacium of Canada Paul Rigby placed fifteenth in the men's 35-39 agre group half marathon, timed at 1.43.58. In the men's 10K2 race, 45-49 age group, David Hindley placed 5th on a time of 45.22. In the national medal tallies so far Germany is leading with 20 golds, 18 silvers and 29 bronzes, Denmark has amassed 12 golds, 23 silvers and 20 bronzes and the USA is in third place with 18 golds, 14 silvers and 22 bronzes. Australia has 7 golds, 10 silvers and 7 bronzes. The World Outgames finish on Monday, NZ time.
