A gay couple caught kissing on a plaza owned by the Mormon church in Salt Lake City, Utah, were shocked to find themselves handcuffed and interrogated by police. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said that the men became argumentative and refused to leave after being asked to stop their "inappropriate behavior," reports the Associated Press. The men, aged 28 and 25, say they were targeted because they are gay. They had simply hugged and kissed on the cheek, they explained. The Mormon church support's California's ban on gay marriage and has been the target of protests from the LGBT community.
