The Oscar-winning writer of the Milk movie has made a public apology following leaked photographs of him having unprotected sex with a former boyfriend were leaked and shown on Perez Hilton's blog. Online, Dustin Lance Black commented: "It is unfortunate that individuals and other outside parties are trying to profit from material which is clearly private. "Ihave had the privilege to speak to people across the country, both gay and straight, on a number of critical issues including safe sex. More important than the embarrassment of this incident is the misleading message these images send. I apologize and cannot emphasize enough the importance of responsible sexual practices." Popular gay blogger Perez Hilton concluded: "NEVER make a sex tape, unless you're ready for it to leak! Cuz it will happen." The blog reports that a photo agency also has a sex video of the pair. Black's lawyers are said to be taking legal action.
