With the front-page headline "Tamati confesses 'My hot date with Gok'", the latest issue of Women's Day magazine has revealed that out TV dancing star Tamati Coffey shared an afternoon rendezvous with UK gay fashionista Gok Wan on his short trip to Auckland last month. Lunch date: Tamati Coffey The two met for lunch in the city, then a spot of shopping, before settling down for a drink on High Street as the afternoon continued. Wan had gushed about Coffey live on TV One's breakfast show before meeting him: "You are probably the most handsome man I have ever seen in my entire life!" Coffey told Women's Day he was similarly in awe of Wan: "He's quite possibly my favourite person on TV. When I saw him, it wasn't this big huge superstar… I felt like we were good mates." The date was innocent enough though, since to two men both have long-term partners. The article went on to say that Wan had chatted to Coffey about his London life in the spotlight, his TV show, and Auckland's gay nightlife, which Gok had experienced first-hand the previous night, leaving him apparently 'bitterly disappointed'.
