Out Takes rolls into Wellington this week

It began in Auckland with full theatres last week, and now the Out Takes Film Festival is set for Wellington with two special events along with the films. Lesbian Gala event: The World Unseen The bar opens at the Paramount Cinema on Courtenay Place at 7pm this Thursday night, with a complimentary drink for Out Takes Opening Night ticketholders. Screening at 8:30pm will be Mr. Right - a new comedy/drama set in London's gay village Soho. South African lesbian drama The World Unseen will be screened at a special Armstrong the film concentrates on the Cape Town Indian community, telling a classic Sapphic story in a challenging location. Tickets are still available for both events, which will also feature prize giveaways. The official printed programme for 2009's Out Takes Film Festival is now available free from gay and LGBT-friendly venues around central Wellington, and in the Paramount Cinema lobby.
