Mon 25 May 2009 In: Worth Checking Out View at NDHA

Softies: A scene from 'Teddy' New Kiwi gay short film Teddy will be first shown in NZ this weekend, but its director has been showing it off internationally. Auckland-based filmmaker Christopher Banks headed to Toronto's Inside Out Local Heroes party, where he mingled with other directors, bands and Canada's best-known LGBT people. But what did Canada think of Chris's film? "The cards are in and the audience approval rating for Teddy in Toronto is very high," he reveals. Aucklanders can see Teddy this Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm as part of Out Takes' International Male short film collection - plus they'll be an after-party from 4pm at Urge bar where punters can meet the cast and crew. Wellington's chance to see the film is on Sunday 7 June, then Christchurch can see it on Wednesday 10 June. Find out more about Teddy here, and spot Christopher Banks being interviewed at the Inside Out party below. Matt Akersten - 25th May 2009
