Pub bars straight man for being "too gay"

Fri 1 May 2009 In: International News

A pub in the UK is being investigated by police after a straight customer says he was thrown out "for being too gay." 38-year-old music producer Michael Evill was drinking with a friend in Hampshire's Brass Monkey pub when staff approached him and told him to leave, "because three people have said that you're too gay", reports the Pink Paper. "I was shocked," says Evill. "I admit that I'd had a few drinks, but I wasn't that drunk! As it happens, I'm not gay but the attitude of the pub has made me want to pull on my crusading cape and tell people what happened." The pub's owner claims Evill was very drunk and had approached other male customers in a sexual manner. "He is welcome to come back another night."
