Eight episodes of New Zealand's long-running LGBT television series Queer Nation are now available to watch on demand on the NZ on Screen website. Queer Nation: Farmboys talk about their lives Queer Nation screened for 11 seasons over nine years from 1996 till 2004 and was the world's longest running free-to-air TV programme dedicated for the LGBT community. The eight episodes feature interviews with well-known Kiwi LGBT people including Georgina Beyer, former MP and civil union opponent Marilyn Waring, and imprisoned Christchurch crèche worker Peter Ellis. Topics covered include Takataapui Kiwis, lesbian relationships, Kiwi at Sydney's 2002 Gay Games, homophobia, health and Civil Unions. The Queer Nation episodes join several other items featuring LGBT New Zealanders available on the NZ on Screen website, including footage of 1998's Hero Parade, episodes of Maori TV's Takataapui programme, a cooking demonstration from Hudson
