Gay books back as Amazon 'glitch' fixed

Thu 16 Apr 2009 In: International News View at Wayback

After several days of online protest campaigns to boycott popular online store Amazon.com, a 'glitch' which lead their gay-themed books to be removed from sales lists and labeled 'adult' has been corrected. "We recently discovered a glitch to our Amazon sales rank feature that is in the process of being fixed. We're working to correct the problem as quickly as possible," said a statement by the website. Hundreds of LGBT-themed books are now back on sales ranking lists and no longer marked 'adult'. Several gay bloggers, who led calls to boycott Amazon last weekend, are still hoping for an official apology from the online store to its LGBT customers for the 'glitch'.
